SOLD

An elegant pair of antique George II silver caldron salt bowls. Made in London in 1737 by "IW" an unregistered makers mark. Around this date the Goldsmiths Hall lost a set of registration books which may have had this mark in them. The bowls sit on three paw style feet and have crisp sets of hallmarks on the bases. They have gilded interiors and would not have had or needed blue liners. They are in very good condition with no repairs.

WEIGHT; 162 grams or 5.2 ozst approx.
