A stunning large silver salver by the renowned silversmith John Terrey. Made in London in 1817. It bears the coat of arms of the Earls of Abingdon. It is profusely chased with fruit and flowers. It is a very heavy salver weighing 41 troy ounces. Overall the salver is in excellent undamaged condition and would grace any collection. Terrey was one of the foremost silversmiths of the early 19th century, his pieces are always of the highest quality and heaviest guage.
