An exceptionally rare silver Victorian brooch with agates and jaspers. Made in Scotland around 1880 at the height of the Victorian demand for Scottish souveniers fueled by Queen Victoria's time on Royal Deeside. The wings and body of the dragonfly are made from agates and jaspers. The carcase of the body is made from silver and marked "silver". A beautiful and very on trend dragonfly brooch.
