An exceptionally rare Victorian Scottish Provincial silver agate brooch. Made in Inverness by Robert Naughton c.1840. Naughton was a very famous Inverness silversmith who was active between 1813 and 1857. Although this brooch has no markings its original box is stamped with "R. NAUGHTON, JEWELLER, INVERNESS'. It is made from a collection of Scottish agates, two Cairngorm crystals and a seed pearl. It is in fantastic condition with no damage or repairs. A very collectable piece of Inverness Scottish jewellery.
