Victorian Scottish agate circular silver brooch, c. 1860

A beautiful Victorian Scottish agate silver circular brooch. Made in Scotland around 1860. It is unmarked as is usually the case with Scottish brooches of this period. There is an outer band of silver set with 8 varied agates, the inner cross shape has 9 different agates. The silver holding the agates is finely engraved. The pin is secured by the usual "C" clasp. A very collectable and wearable Scottish brooch.
