An exceptionally rare Victorian antique gold, agate and citrine kilt pin or brooch. Made in Scotland around 1860, probably in Edinburgh. It is unmarked as there was no legal requirement to hallmark "smalls" or jewellery. This has moss agates, carnelians, striated agates and citrines mounted in gold (tested to confirm). A stunning piece that would grace any kilt or jacket. The natural colours match very well with tweed cloth's natural dyes. For collectors of Scottish agate jewellery this would make a great addition. In excellent condition.
WEIGHT; 18 grams.
