A stunningly beautiful Victorian gold and agate brooch. Made in Scotland around 1880 when tourism was developing. The railways took people up to follow in the footsteps of Queen Victorian and Prince Albert. The brooches were in effect tourist souvenirs. This one has been tested as 18 carat gold and has the typical Victorian "C" clasp fitting. It is in excellent condition with crisp engraving. A great collectors piece or a fabulous gift.
