An exceptionally rare Scottish George II three piece caster set. Made in Edinburgh in 1732/3 by James Main with the Assay Master being Archibald Ure. All three casters are in excellent condition with no damage or repairs. The set has one large salt caster, a smaller pepper caster and an equivalent blind caster for mustard. Each one has an engraved letter "Y" on the front. All three have pull off tops which are unmarked. These are amazing examples of early Scottish Silver.
