A stunning Scottish silver Victorian teapot, made in Edinburgh in 1847 by A. G. Whigton. It is profusly decorated with swags and scrolls and is fully hallmarked on the base and lid. Apart from a very small dent on the underside of the handle it is in excellent condition. The lid fits well and has cast acanthus leaves on the top. The handle has ivory heat insulators.
