A George III silver helmet style cream jug which was made in London in 1788 and has the mark of Thomas Shepherd. The jug sits on a square base and has a plain body with a beaded rim around the lip. There is a good set of hallmarks under the lip and no engraved initials. The silver jug is in very good condition and has no damage or repairs.
