A large George III silver gilt table snuff box. Made in London in 1818 by William Edwards. The box has ribbed oval ends and engine turned top and base. There is a beautifully cast thumb piece and initials engraved on the top. The 12 part hinge is tight and the lid closes well. The interior has original gilding and hallmarks on the base and lid. The quality of this box is stunning.
