A stunning example of Edwardian silver by the King's silversmith Sebastian Henry Garrard. Hallmarked in London in 1909. The silver gilt box is topped with a cabouchon agate surrounded by seed pearls. All over the box there are figures from classical Greek scenes. The quality of the classical reliefs are stunning as you would expect from one of the greatest silversmiths of the period. The base is fully hallmarked and the interior has the original gilding. The box is in excellent condition with no repairs and has been used with signs of use to the interior. A rare box that would be an asset to any collection.
