A rare George III silver gilt snuff box made in London in 1818 by William Snooke Hall. The cast top depicts a Greek or Roman family scene. The thumb piece on the front is cast with thistles, roses and shamrocks. The interior has original gilding with hallmarks top and bottom. The 15 part hinge is tight and the box closes well with no spring back. The box is in excellent condition with no damage or repairs. A good Georgian snuff box, would enhance any collection.
