A stunningly rare and beautiful silver cast top snuff box. Made in London in 1822 by the famed silversmith Edward Farrell. It is hallmarked on the engraved base, on the casr top and on the lip. The top is very crisp and it is such an amazing box. The figure on the top is taken from an etching by the 17th century Dutch artist Gerrit Van Honthorst called " The man with a Hambone". A wonderful box and a must have for a serious collector.
