George IV Windsor Castle antique snuff box, Taylor & Perry, 1823

A rare "Castle Top" table snuff box by Taylor and Perry, Birmingham 1823. The casting of Windsor Castle is very crisp and the high points are only showing very light wear. The 12 part hinge is good and the lid fits well. The interior has original gilding and is hallmarked on the base and lid. The four sides are engine turned and the base is smooth and dent free. This is a very good example of a "Castle Top" snuff box.
