An extra large George III antique silver and horn snuff mull. Made in Scotland around 1805 as shown by the time period of the Mackintosh Coat of Arms. It is also engraved with "John Mackintosh" the original owners name. The silver cartouch has an engraved Coat of Arms for the Mackintosh family. There is an amethyst set in the top and an intricate ball joint hinge. The lid seals tightly and the horn has a very tight curl on the end. One of the most impressive snuff mulls I have had and a great addition to any collection.

WEIGHT; 171 grams or 6 ozst approximately.
