A rare George III silver gilt snuff box. Made in London in 1800 probably by William Elerby who was a specialist box maker. There is an inscription inside the lid and a full set of hallmarks on the lip, makers mark is mistruck. Overall the box is in excellent condition with no damage or repairs only some loss of gilding through ware. A very collectable piece.
