A beautiful and rare antique silver safron tea pot. Made during the reign of William IV by Charles Fox of London in 1835. Safron being such a valuable commodity it was brewed in small tea pots. This one is exquisitely made with a fluted top and an acanthus leaf handle. There are a full set of hallmarks underneath and part marks on the handle. It has a hard wood finial and in the handle. A very collectable piece of English silver.
