A stunning silver vesta case made for the Scottish market by J. Cook & Sons of Birmingham in 1919. The front has a thistle design made of two colours of granite and engraved thistle leaves. The two granites are dark gray from Rubislaw Quarry in Aberdeen and the salmon pink from Correnie Quarry in Aberdeenshire. The back is engraved with GW and there are a full set of hallmarks on the rim of the body as well as part marks on the lid. Overall the vesta is in good condition and a great piece for the collector.
