An extremely beautiful antique silver wine slide or coaster. Made in London in 1848 by Charles Thomas Fox and George Fox who worked out of 139 Old Street where they were until 1852. They were renowned for their intricate work and this wine coaster is no exception, it has cast vine leaves and bunches of grapes all around the body. Unusually the central base is all silver with a pair of family crests engraved in the centre. Overall the coaster is in excellent condition and very useable.
Weight; 294 grams or 9.5 ozst approx.
