A scarce example of the famous Georgian silver snuff box called the "Pedlar" by John Linnit, made in London in 1825. This is made from a good gauge of silver and being at least 0.5oz heavier than other examples. The box is in excellent condition with only a couple of tiny dings to the edge. The hallmarks are crisp on the inside of the top and bottom, it also has part marks on the lid beside the Pedlar's head. The 15 part hinge is very tight and the box closes well. The crests on the front are for Baronet Hervey-Bathhurst of Clarendon Park in Wiltshire. This is one of the best examples of this box you will find.

Weight: approx. 198gms or 6.4ozs
