A very rare Victorian silver water jug in the style of an early motor oil can. Made in Sheffield in 1896 by the Aitkin Brothers. This lidded jug is in excellent condition with no damage or repairs. The curved handle has heat breakers which stop the handle overheating. There are a full set of crisp hallmarks just under the rim and a part set on the lid. This is a great gift for the motor enthusiast for serving water with his whisky!
